Red Ironbark (Eucalyptus Sideroxylon, Eucalyptus Fibrosa, Eucalyptus Crebra)
Red Ironbark is a mix of several Australian hardwoods growing throughout eastern Vic, NSW and central eastern QLD. Its colour tends towards deep reds to red browns, and often will contain lighter gum vein elements. The grain is moderately pronounced, but even, and interlocked, with a triangular “cathedral” pattern. As one of Australia’s hardest hardwoods, with a Class 1 durability rating, this timber is a fantastic option for both residential and commercial applications.
